What's happening on the northwest side of town for Mexican food?

Me and my family visited Old Tucson regularly in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, before the 1995 fire. Very different now. Back then, the old mine was a amusement park ride, not a guided tour, There was a huge kid play area with amazing rope structures you could climb. There was no movie museum. I will be very interested in seeing that! The town looks so different now. Actually better is some ways: bigger with more genres of streets. No tours of the sound stage before, wonder if they have that now? Too bad the iconic adobe chapel built in 1939 is gone as well as most of the original adobe buildings. I don’t remember it having that many restaurants back in the day. I do remember buying ice cream cones. Looks like the gift shop on the way out has totally changed. What happened to the rows and rows of assorted candies you could pick out yourself to purchase? Glad Old Tucson is back and I will definitely check it out the next time I’m in Tucson. The nearby Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum nearby is another must see attraction.

My parents live in Sun City. The OV is an uppity town. It might be safe but it's a ticket trap town. Also it ain't got a down town! Bunch of uppity strip malls. The residents are uppity too!

Most of these hoods ain't in tucson. There in rich areas outside of tucson. Most of tucson is over run by vagrents who all carry knives, bring a pistol!

I lived there for a year. It had to be the DRUG CAPITAL of Arizona. Very, Very Dangerous place to live, without question. Every storm, known as a MONSOON, would blow out electricity somewhere, and you'd have no A.C. for hours in the deadly heat.

Thats easy! Phoenix is the most fun and better than tucson for things to do and exciting though the best time to be in tucson is the tucson gem and mineral show. So Phoenix is the place to be.

I live there and homes are constantly being built and moved into almost as fast as they're done. But we've already had problems with it. Be advised. But it is a very nice place. Nice neighborhood with a diverse group of great neighbors.

There seems to be quite a bit online about the challenges (shoddy building) with many of the big name home builders in the area. There are even some class action suits against builders. This makes me extremely hesitant to look at new builds. Will be moving to Tucson this time next year.

Prices are going up as many are cutting prices...this housing market makes no sense. Unless you realize many of the price cuts are only because they are overvaluing the house to make it seem like you are getting a deal when they cut it by a little. But either way... It's still overvalued. Anyone buying now is going to find themselves upside down quickly. Then they won't be able to refinance and will have to foreclose. Banks will still get their money because the loan they gave was overvalued, and they can still sell the house for a discount that is still overvalued lmfao. Its an insane loop that isn't going to stop anytime soon until businesses start closing and people lose jobs and move out of town.

I’m from Sonora. Owned an authentic Mexican restaurant for 15 years. Absolutely loathe forced chic fusion cuisine. But I love this place! I’ve made dishes like this my entire life. Some things just work, and these chefs have hit it out of the park! I’m super critical of my dishes, often to the point of being unrealistic. So when I say that EVERY single dish I’ve had in this restaurant is a 10/10, it’s something my friends and family find extremely surprising.
